Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that helps to hydrate and add volume to your skin. It is a smooth consistency gel that flows easily into the skin and provides a smooth, natural look and feel.
What to expect after your treatment?
After treatment, some temporary, injection-related reactions might occur such as tenderness, redness, itching, bruising, bumps, slight pain or swelling. If any of these occur, they typically resolve within a few days. Occasionally they can last up to 7-10 days after lip treatment. We recommend planning your treatments at least one week before any special events.
What will treatment with JUVÉDERM® injectable gel accomplish?
JUVÉDERM® injectable gel will help to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Most patients need only one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing, one treatment could smooth lines and wrinkles for up to 1 year.
How long does treatment usually take?
With JUVÉDERM® the treatment process takes only about 15 minutes and results are immediate, although a full consultation will take place intiatially and therefore total treatment time will be approximately 1 hour. Plus, there’s minimal recovery or downtime. So you can go straight from treatment and step right back into your life. And now with the newest formulation of JUVÉDERM®, the effects of lidocaine take place in seconds, reducing the need for additional anaesthetics.
Aftercare
No special care is needed after treatment, If swelling occurs after lip treatment, sleeping on two pillows for the first two nights may help. Ice can also be used to reduce any redness or swelling and recovery time is minimal.
